#EMPOWHER Wellbeing Program
Our whole-school #EMPOWHER wellbeing program was developed specifically for the needs of our girls, combining comprehensive surveys of our students and parents with national and international research.
The curriculum for Years 7 to 12 flows into Home Group sessions twice a week. Program content tackles a variety of challenges facing young women including stress, mental health, self-esteem, sleep and the growing impact of social media. Our girls are provided with a range of strategies to build confidence and resilience. As the title suggests, it’s all about empowering our girls to be positive and happy individuals.
Topics and tools are also being communicated to our parent community, as successful wellbeing programs are ones where the school and parents work very much in partnership. Junior School content was launched in 2019.
The creation of this bespoke program is a key plank of the School’s Strategic Plan which is cementing our reputation as a national leader in girls’ education and wellbeing.
As part of #EMPOWHER, students hear from inspirational speakers such as cycling legend Anna Meares, shark attack survivor Paul de Gelder and Adelaide Crows AFLW Captain Chelsea Randall.
